African Arts & Crafts Market Bazaar:













L’Afrique 2010 , Newcastle’s annual festival of African arts and culture, is proud to present the first ever market event dedicated to African Arts, Culture, Music and Food.

L’Afrique 2010 are looking for stall holders and traders: artists, musicians, crafts people, designers & makers, caterers, general dealers to fill the market with goods of African origin to showcase the diverse and vibrant range of goods and services available across the region.

Are you a trader? Do you have a shop or provide a range of good to the African community? Items such as:
Food stuffs
Hair & Beauty products and services
Books
DVD’s
Music
Crafts
Materials and fabrics
Dress-making and designing
Social and community activities
Dance & performing arts
Community Activities
Resources and information for the African Community

Are you an artist of African origin and could provide/showcase your work?

Are you a dressmaker/designer who specialised in African Fabrics and textiles?

Are you a musician or performer and could provide music or poetry at the event?

There are 2 general meetings arranged for an informal chat and more information about the market.

These meetings are on Tuesday 3rd and Tuesday 10th August at : Made in Newcastle, 22 Nun Street, Newcastle upon Tyne from 4 -7pm.
Made in Newcastle is a arts & crafts gallery and workshop space that is open Tuesday – Sat , 10-6pm , so please pop in at any time and ask for Yve Ngoo, (
