A MiNnie Summer Market Showcase

The MiN Summer Market on the 11th August is getting ever closer and it all promises to be very exciting indeed.

There will be 30 - 35 wonderful stalls with a diverse range of handmade and locally designed products to tantalise your eye holes.

Aside from a huge variety of local designers and artists we'll also have our kids craft corner where you can bring your little'uns and they can get creative with the folks of MiN and make something to take home with them. To add to this we also now have a children's book author who will be stopping by to do some readings from her wonderful books.  So all in all it'll be the perfect spot to spark your child's imagination and get their creative juices flowing - hey it could be good for the big kids too!
To give you an idea of what gorgeous things you'll be able to find here is a sneak preview of some of the crafts people selling at the event:

Laura Parkin
Stunning hand woven textiles from a Northumberland based a textile designer graduate.

Karina's bags
Gorgeous leather bags and purses from established designer-maker Karina Hesketh.

Candy Queen Store
Fabulous and super cute, customisable kid's clothing.

French Oven
Delicious artisan breads, cakes and pastries from the Grainger Market based bakers.

Yellobole
Finely crafted, bound notebooks, journals and boxes made by local maker Margaret Finch.

Laura Cartwright
Colourful and contemporary illustration prints, cards and decorations.

Surf and Silver
Naturally striking, salvaged coastal sea glass jewellery from maker Emma Harbottle.

BUBU Design
Quirky and charming toys and dolls from illustrator and designer-maker Agata Ryniewicz.

Money generated from this market will go towards future MiN events to aid our long term aspiration of having a permanent retail/gallery space, so we hope you'll come along for a tea or coffee and help us to continue to support local creative talent and business.
We are fully booked for stalls now but you can still apply to be on the reserve list if you contact info@madeinnewcastle.org with a couple of sample images of your work.
We're looking forward to seeing you all there.
